Equine Ulcer Formula

Ingredients:

• Marshmallow Root
• Slippery Elm
• Licorice Root
• Ginger Root
• L-Glutamine

Indications: Gastra-FX is used as an aid in the treatment of problems of the stomach, including healing ulcers. Ulcers can reoccur in 36 hours so continuous use of this product is recommended. Dosage may be increased 2-4 times than that recommended depending on the seriousness of the condition.

Dosage: May vary from 50cc three times daily to 30cc twice per day depending on severity of problem. Always administer initial daily dose 1/2 to 1 hour prior to exercise.

ULCERS in Horses

Product: GastraFx and GastraFx

Program:

1. Feed your horse a high fat, high fiber, low starch diet.
2. Give your horse 1oz of salt in each feeding for a minimum of 2 ½ - 3oz daily.
3. Provide free access to water and never let your horse run out of hay.

GastraFx: 50cc three times daily.
Biotic 8: 1 scoop in feed morning and night
The length of treatment will depend on the horse.
You will see a positive response within ten day to two weeks.

Minimum length of treatment for GastraFx is 25 days.

Biotic 8: should be given forever but at a reduced rate as low as ½ scoops daily.
In times of stress, worming, inoculations, antibiotic treatments etc, return to a higher dosage.

Diet is probably the most important factor in ulcer treatment.
Lack of roughage intake is the biggest problem in creating ulcers in horses.
Pay attention to the diet.
